Program Profile: STEM Basketball

Congratulations to UCLA, NCAA Women’s National Champions and to the University of Michigan, NCAA Men’s National Champions. How did your student’s brackets perform during March Madness?

With the conclusion of the NCAA basketball season, we now turn our attention to the NBA Playoffs! With that, we invite you to learn more about our engaging STEM Basketball academic program. Students will learn skills like data analysis, physics, and problem-solving through hands-on activities connected to shooting, passing, and game strategy. Students will even heat up and cool down basketballs to learn what happens at the molecular level inside of the ball. Our program combines physical activity with academic learning to increase student engagement, achievement, and career awareness in STEM fields.

STEM Basketball

While we cannot promise students will be able to execute a slam dunk, they will certainly feel like they did after experiencing the STEM Basketball program!

What they said:

“This curriculum was an incredible extension to the creative and innovative learning my students needed to deepen and extend their thinking. The challenges were complex, but able to complete them with collaboration and discussion in our 3rd-grade setting. I also love how the activities were made in bands of 3-5 & 6-8 to be able to differentiate the ideas if needed. I could not ask for more!”
